Planetarium Teaches People with Low Vision about Eclipse
Yahn Planetarium at Penn State Behrend on Wednesday got to teach those with low vision all about the eclipse.
The Sight Center brought 52 clients to the planetarium to learn the history of the eclipse, along with safety measures and fun facts.
Those who may not have heard about the event and could walk outside risk damaging their eyesight.
Sight Center operations director Pam Masi said it's good not only for them to participate in the fun but also to be safe.
"Low vision comes in many spectrums from 20/20 vision and beyond to blind," said Masi. "There's people that have partial vision, and the damage can still happen to your retinas with partial vision."
The clients got to learn all about the eclipse history and fun facts about the many reactions to it.
