Glen Campbell Reflects on 20 Years of Service in U.S. Navy: Remembering Our Veterans
For the past three years, Erie News Now has honored veterans and their families every Thursday night.
These are stories of service and sacrifice. This week Erie News Now is featuring the story of a U.S. Navy veteran's 20 year career.
Now 77 years old, Glenn Campbell joined the U.S. Navy not long after graduating from Rice Avenue Union High School in 1965. He served in radio communications.
His tour of duty lasted 20 years, and it wasn't by initial design. Two of his brothers also served in the Air Force.
When his tour ended, he embarked on his second career, working for a local phone company for 34 years.
Glenn has never missed a beat when it comes to communication, both at work and with his fellow Navy veterans.
Mr. Campbell, thank you for your service.
