Three people suffered injuries from a RV fire on Interstate 79 in Erie County and had to be taken to the hospital Tuesday.

It was reported in the northbound lanes near mile marker 170 around 10:34 a.m.

An elderly woman reportedly had to be pulled out of the vehicle.

Two firefighters were taken to be treated for smoke inhalation and heat exhaustion.

The fire closed the northbound lanes of Interstate 79 between exit 166 for Route 6N/Albion/Edinboro and exit 174 for McKean, but they have since reopened as of 12:45 p.m.
