Michael Mason made a career in the U.S. Army. He went from basic training, to advanced training, to becoming a military specialist.

He's the focus of this week's Remembering Our Veterans story. 

Mason graduated from Reynolds HS in 1993, he entered active service in August of that same year. 

Throughout his career, he deployed to over 40 countries and 35 states. He completed combat tours in Afghanistan (4 deployments). 

Mason served as Assistant Operations Non-Commissioned Officer at the National Military Command Center's underground bunker. 

Additionally, Mason served eight years with the White House Communications Agency; directly supporting two United States Presidents, Vice Presidents, and the Secret Service. He served as the Staff Non-Commissioned Officer In-Charge of tactical and technical communications

Mason has worked at Thiel College for over ten years, serving as the Assistant Director of Information Technology Operations and the Thiel College Veteran Liaison.
