Three-Time Purple Heart Recipient Reflects on Years of Service: Remembering Our Veterans
John Steinbaugh served for over thirty years in the U.S. Army as a medic, in a Special Operations Unit. He's the focus of this week's Remembering Our Veterans: Stories of Service and Sacrifice.
The Tech Memorial High School graduate is a three-time Purple Heart recipient, an honor John Steinbaugh is quite proud of.
His post-military endeavors have taken him to Ukraine four times, for a few weeks at a time.
John also started playing hockey in the military and has become a fanatic about the sport.
John is now working for an Oregon company as a liaison between the military and his employer. They design products that help medics in combat deal with serious injuries.
