After graduating from Iroquois High School, Wes Bennett decided to join the workforce. Looking for a new adventure as a 19-year-old, he signed up for duty with the U.S. Navy, and his journey across the globe was underway.

Bennett was quickly assigned to a challenging, top-secret assignment.

He served during the Vietnam Era from 1969 until 1973 and requested transfer to the site of the fight.

A graduate of Edinboro State College, the now 74-year-old Bennett worked for forty years at the unemployment office. It was his time in the military and in the classroom that shaped his life.

Mr. Wes Bennett, thank you for your service.
