Investigators on Friday identified the man who was killed in a Christmas morning fire in Chautauqua County.

The fire was reported at a residence at 94 Old Mill Rd. around 5:09 a.m. Wednesday.

After putting out the flames, firefighters discovered Zane Shattuck, 32, dead inside the home, deputies said.

The fire started in the ceiling of the basement, according to investigators.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office did not release the cause of the fire.
