During Erie Otters games, you can find season ticket holder Jack Martin in his seat watching on and enjoying the company of other fans.

When Connor McDavid was playing for the team though, he found himself sitting with McDavid's family.

After watching McDavid play alongside his family, it did not take Martin long to realize just how good he would end up being.

Over the years, Martin also built a relationship with Connor himself and he recalled a time when Connor saw him for the first in a while and called Jack by the nickname he gave him.

Now with his jersey in the rafters at the Erie Insurance Arena, the name McDavid will be synonymous with Erie hockey forever.
