The roadway will be closed between 15th St. and 21st St. from Oct. 21 to 31 while CSX Transportation works on the railroad crossing near W. 16th St.
Traffic will be limited to one lane between Sassafras St. Ext. and State St. during overnight hours from Sept. 15 to 21.
There will still be access to all businesses along the Bayfront Parkway.
The bridge closed in June and reopened earlier than expected.
Drivers are asked to use caution when traveling through the area due to ongoing work for State St. bridge preservation project.
The project includes paving 1.89 miles of Route 666 in Howe Township from Blue Jay Creek Rd. to the Warren County line.
It is expected to reopen later Friday once cleanup efforts are complete.
They will be paving at the intersection of Route 20 and Brickyard Rd. in the morning.
The project includes milling and paving 4.4 miles of roadway from Route 6 to Route 98.
The bridge goes over Shirley Run.
Work includes resurfacing the existing deck and parts of the road leading up to the bridge, in addition to other minor structural repairs.
The project includes paving of 2.4 miles of roadway on and Route 20 (Ridge Road/Main St.) from Chestnut St. to Imperial Parkway.
It is closed from Bowmantown Rd. to Albion Rd. due to damage to the railroad bridge over the roadway.
PennDOT said it is working to treat roadways in the area.
The street was closed from Ash St. to the intersection of E. 28th St./Old French Rd.
The bridge closed in June for rehabilitation work on the piers, abutment walls and deck.
The roadway was set to be closed last weekend, but the closure was delayed due to equipment-related issues.
It comes after a routine inspection uncovered deterioration to the 32-foot concrete structure.
Drivers in downtown Erie will see several street closings for this weekend's CelebrateErie, which runs Friday through Sunday.
Left turns from Route 6N to Route 99 will not be permitted starting Monday.
The paving, which is scheduled to start Monday, will be done from Thatcher Ln. near Country Fair to Dollar General near Railroad St.
PennDOT said drivers may also see rolling closures and should expect delays during these times.
All lanes will be closed from McClelland Ave. to the Bayfront Connector from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Drivers will see periodic rolling stops on I-90 eastbound and the Interstate 79 ramps to I-90 eastbound between 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday. There is also a lane closure near the bridge.
