Erie police have charged 30-year-old Rachel Kozloff, of Erie, for the shooting death of a man inside his apartment last week.

Last Thursday night, police responded to an apartment in the 400 block of East 18th street.
They found 29-year-old Michael Henry dead inside his upstairs apartment.

During the investigation, as police searched for a motive, investigators considered that Henry's death may have been related to ongoing disputes between local motorcycle clubs, but police have since eliminated that possibility.

"We do not see that. We see no connections between who our victim is, and his affiliation with any motorcycle club. We believe there is another motive at this time." Said Erie's Police Chief Steve Franklin.

Meanwhile, investigators are still piecing together the details of a weekend murder on the west side.

Around 9:00 Saturday morning, Erie police responded to 19th and Myrtle to find 42 year old Nelson Irizarry-Reyes Jr., dead inside his mini-van.
He'd been shot in the head three times, and the mini-van's engine was still running.
Detectives are trying to retrace his final few hours, to see who he may have come in contact with, to help determine a motive and a suspect.
Police give us the latest on the investigation, and we also caught up with neighbors for reaction to the violence.

"We have had numerous versions of what may have happened up there, and this is of course coming from people who knew him or deal with him, or just know him from the neighborhood. And we just don't have anything solid at this point." Said Chief Franklin.

"Hitting a little bit too close to home here. I've been living here on this street since '72. I used to live across the street and we had a murder down on 19th street and now this one, I don't know what's going on." Said a neighbor, Karen Yokes.

Witnesses say they saw a man running away from the shooting scene, police are working to identify him at this point.
