The Truck-Lite plant in Falconer, N.Y., is slated to close by the end of the year.
The company announced the news in a statement Thursday.
A spokesperson said the factory plans to relocate work to other facilities.
The statement said, "This is not a decision that we take lightly, and we are committed to treating the impacted employees fairly."
Company officials said the office employees based in Falconer will remain employed.
Truck-Lite did not say how many employees will be affected.
