Erie Native Steve Scully to Moderate Presidential Debate
Erie native and senior executive producer and political editor at C-SPAN, Steve Scully, will moderate one of the upcoming presidential debates.
The Presidential Debate Commission announced Wednesday Scully will moderate the debate between President Donald Trump and former Vice President Joe Biden on October 15 in Miami.
It will be the second of three debates.
This particular debate will be a unique town hall style format, allowing American citizens to ask questions to the candidates.
Scully served as a lecturer for the Jefferson Educational Society in Erie and worked as a reporter and anchor right here at WSEE in the early 1980s before moving on to C-SPAN.
The first presidential debate is set for September 29 in Cleveland. The third and final debate is set for October 22 in Nashville.
