Erie's Federal Hill Smokehouse has been named Pennsylvania's best barbecue restaurant by Food & Wine Magazine.

The magazine recently published a list naming the best barbecue in every state.

Federal Hill serves fall off the bone brisket, ribs, pulled pork, turkey and more - but you have to be quick, because the restaurant is only open for lunch and sells out most days.

Owners Ryan and Autumn Atzert opened the Texas-style barbecue restaurant in 2016.

The writer of the Food & Wine article notes Federal Hill's "honking" beef ribs, deep-fried pulled pork cakes served with chipotle cream, sliced smoked turkey, sausages and brisket.

Federal Hill announced the prestigious honor on its Facebook page saying, "It's crazy what you can accomplish with being honest and working hard."

If you want to experience Pennsylvania's best barbecue, you can visit Federal Hill Smokehouse between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It is located at 2609 Peach St. in Erie.
