More than $3.25 million meals will be provided to food banks in Pennsylvania, New York and Vermont, thanks to Tops Markets' Food for Families and Check Out Hunger campaigns, Tops officials announced Tuesday. 

A portion of the donations will be provided to Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania. 

In 2020, Second Harvest received a total of $26,714 from the Food for Families and Check Out Hunger campaigns. 

Second Harvest has served more than 12,000 new families since the start of the pandemic, according to Karen Seggi, CEO of Second Harvest. 

Tops contributions have helped provide more than 116,000 meals to people in need across northwest Pennsylvania amid the pandemic.
