Erie Philharmonic Set for December Return to Newly-Renovated Warner Theatre
The Erie Philharmonic is planning on returning to the Warner Theatre for its 2021-22 season, Philharmonic officials announced Friday.
The season will begin with its annual "Come Home for the Holidays" concert on Saturday, December 4.
The Philharmonic's return to the Warner Theatre will follow the completion of the final phase of renovations at the theatre.
The renovations include an expansion of the stage, updated lighting and audio. In addition, a newly-installed 1,500 piece pipe organ and a new Steinway piano will be unveiled.
“I cannot wait to return to the Warner stage and share the sheer sonic and visual force of the entire Erie Philharmonic playing together again,” said Erie Philharmonic Music Director Daniel Meyer. “I don't think I am exaggerating to say that we will be playing on the edge of our seat, thrilled to be back making the music we love so dearly in our home, the beautifully-renovated Warner Theatre.”
It has been over a year since the Erie Philharmonic performed a live concert with an in-person audience. In that time, the orchestra has recorded eight television concerts.
Additionally, the Philharmonic is planning a series of outdoor concerts this summer called "In Your Hometown."
Subscription packages for the new season will be available in mid-May. Single tickets will go on sale for the general public sometime this fall.
