E. 25th Street Home in Rubble After House Fire

 A home on 461 E. 25th is completely demolished after catching fire late Saturday evening.

The Erie Fire Department received the call around 11:31 last night. The massive fire caused damage to the siding of the home next door. According to Erie Fire Deputy Chief Fred Gillepsie, within 5 minutes of crews working to take down the fire, the second floor collapsed entirely forcing crews to extinguish the fire from outside of the home.

The home is believed to be abandoned and no one was injured.

The cause of the fire is still unknown at this time.
