Cathedral Prep plays Erie High in a big football matchup Friday night in what's expected to be as normal game as possible during a pandemic.

Last year, fans from the home team were only allowed to attend, but this year, everyone can come watch the game.

Erie School District officials said football players will be required to wear face mask on the school bus before the game.

Operations director Neil Brockman said some mitigation efforts are in place to help keep student athletes safe.

"We do that for all our athletic teams," said Brockman. "When every single kid comes in, we ask them 5-6 questions, and based on the answers to those questions, we let them in or don't let them in."

If you do not feel comfortable going in-person to the game or you simply can't make it out, Brokman said you can always watch the district's live stream of the game.
