Bishop Dwane Brock celebrated 50 years of service to the Erie Community
After serving the community of Erie for 50 years, Bishop Dwane Brock was honored tonight at the Bayfront Convention center.
Bishop Brock is the presiding Bishop of Covenant Ministries International Fellowship.
He is celebrating his 50th anniversary as Bishop. Brock is the founder and Ceo of the Eagles Nest leadership corporation, an organization focused on teaching at risk youth community civilty and providing educational and career development through the eagle nests school of academic distinction.
The eagles nest also offers financial education and work force development training for at risk students who are looking to reach potential.
He also currently serves as chairman of the board for the city of Erie housing authority and the board of directors for Upmc Hamot, the Hamot Health Foundation and the Eagles Nest Leadership corporation.
Mayor Joe Schember presented him with a key to the city along with naming November 21st, 2011 Bishop Dwane Brock Day.
