The Pennsylvania Department of Health is reporting 6,918 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) as of 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, bringing the statewide total to 1,806,671.

There are 4,404 (+87) people hospitalized with COVID-19 with 923 (+27) patients in the intensive care unit.

73 new deaths were reported Wednesday, increasing the total to 34,271.

Currently, 1,167,215 (+3,875) people in Pennsylvania are partially vaccinated, 6,741,887 (+10,423) are fully vaccinated, and 1,814,242 (+30,424) have received an additional dose.

Erie, Crawford, Warren, Chautauqua and Ashtabula Counties are currently in the high level of community transmission, according to the CDC's map for Dec. 1-7. All counties in Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York are seeing high transmission.
