Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a shooting in North East Tuesday evening.

First responders were called to the 9500 block of W. Main St. after 6 p.m.

Reports from Erie County 911 indicate one person was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

There is no word on the extent of injuries.
