Roundabout Work to Close Part of Flower Rd. in Summit Township
Work on the five-leg roundabout in Summit Township, Erie County, will close part of Flower Rd. and its entrance to Erie County Technical School starting July 13, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) on Monday.
Flower Rd. will be closed at the intersection with Hamot Rd. and Oliver Rd.
A 4.5-mile detour using Reichert Rd., Dunn Valley Rd. and Oliver Rd. will be posted. It is expected to remain in place for 15 days, weather-permitting.
The construction includes milling, paving, sidewalks, ADA curb ramps, drainage improvements, environmental mitigation, lighting, vegetation replacement and pavement markings.
Additional short-term detours and traffic pattern shifts will be needed to complete the work.
