Retired Rear admiral Robert D. Reilly was in Erie this weekend. He's lending his voice in support of the Oliver Hazard Perry Shipyard project.

On Saturday, he stopped by the Wood-Morrison house at the Hagen History Center to learn more about Erie's naval history.

He hopes that the Oliver Hazard Perry Shipyard Committee is able to bring the USS Halyburton to Erie as floating museum. He said after traveling and living on the USS Halyburton, he can't imagine it not being saved and preserved.

After touring the Hagen History Center, he said he was amazed by the city's naval history.
