If you've had covid and are still feeling lingering symptoms like brain fog, fatigue, chest pain, and/or shortness of breath... you're not alone.

As many as half of the people who contract covid-19 experience lingering symptoms three months or longer after their initial infection.

Data from the solve ME\CFS initiative shows that 783,000 individuals in Pennsylvania are suffering from long covid.

According to pulmonologist Dr. Jeffrey McGovern of AHN, covid vaccines not only reduce risks of hospitalization, but limit the long-term effects. He says that majority of the long term covid cases he has seen are non-vaccinated individuals.

We asked Dr. McGovern what to do if you think you might be experiencing long term covid symptoms, and he says that step one is recognizing you're not alone.

"It's vital to connect with your healthcare team," said Dr. McGovern. "Voicing their frustration about having this can be very therapeutic."
