Marisa Thomas is passionate about creative storytelling and joined the Erie News Now team as a multimedia journalist in Nov. 2022.

Marisa completed her B.A. in Journalism with a minor in art at Ithaca College. After graduating, she moved back to the place where she grew up — Erie, Pa.

She is excited and grateful for the opportunity to report on the stories that matter for her hometown.

During her undergraduate work, Marisa wrote for the college website and interned as a proofreader for a business coaching company called Thrive.

When Marisa has free time, you can find her creating her own art, playing piano, rock climbing or simply enjoying a good book with a cup of coffee.
