Police and rescuers swarmed the parking lot of a local TOPS market, after three suspected overdose victims were found in a parked car there.

They were called to the lot at the 38th and Liberty TOPS around 11:30 this morning. In a parked silver van they found a man and a woman in their 30's deceased, one in the driver's seat, the other in the back seat.

A front seat passenger was still alive. She was transported to the hospital for treatment. Police gathered bags of evidence from the car.

The bodies were taken to the morgue. The car was towed. The coroner believes the deaths happened hours before.

"Officers came in, found a female who was still alive, and has since been transported Hamot," said Lyell Cook, Erie County Coroner. "There's a female and a male that both obviously died 12 to 14 hours ago."

People told police they passed or parked by the running car in the morning, they didn't realize that something very wrong had happened inside.
