Enjoying the Weather and Looking Forward to Summer
With rain out of the way, people were able to visit Presque Isle, take a walk or get ice cream.
A good day for a root beer float, but King Tatum says the best time for ice cream is "summer."
Even though it's not summer yet, Tatum is looking forward to a warm season and already has plans.
"Go swimming. . . Eat more ice cream and play tackle football," Tatum said.
Businesses and restaurants, like Oliver's Rooftop, and Oliver's Beer Garden are also looking forward to see what the warmer weather will bring.
"We're getting ready to open the beer garden actually, tomorrow for the first time this year, and it will be open throughout October. So we're very excited about some changes we've got going," Nick Scott Sr., President of Scott Enterprises said.
They plan on adding more bands, additions to the food truck, and a miniature golf course. Scott says the Bayfront has so many features that make it worth the visit.
"There are a lot of tourists here. A lot of great restaurants. There's things to do -- boat rides, all sorts of great things. So, people will enjoy it if you live here locally, or if you come from out of town. It will be great," Scott said.
