Fort LeBoeuf Senior is the Final Recipient of the C.L.A.S.S. Act Award
Fort LeBoeuf senior Samantha McIntyre is the final recipient of the C.L.A.S.S. Act Scholarship.
This Wednesday was the final reveal in our C.L.A.S.S. Act Awards, awards given to nominated students across Erie, Crawford, and Warren Counties.
This one was extra-special. Samantha was sitting in her father's physics class when our Eva Mastromatteo surprised her live on air, revealing that Sam was the recipient of a $1,000 scholarship from the IU5.
Sam is the record holder for the swim team and standout singer at the high school. She is the second C.L.A.S.S. Act Award recipient this year from the Fort LeBoeuf District.
"I know it's super intimidating to do a lot of different things," said Sam. "But if you put your mind to it and you focus on putting your best foot forward, it's achievable and you can definitely do it."
"We had Maddy in the fall, which was a tremendous accomplishment here, and to close out the school year with Sam, she had such a great school year," said Rick Emerick, Superintendent, Ft. LeBoeuf School District. "It's a true testament to the great kids we have here at Fort LeBoeuf."
Erie News Now wants to congratulate all of the nominated area students this month for this school year's C.L.A.S.S. Act Awards.
