VNET Fiber is expanding its broadband network to provide Summit Township residents with fiber optic broadband. 

This would allow for 44 additional households in Summit Township to now connect to VNET's fiber optic network with speeds up to 1 Gb x 1 Gb. 

“We look forward to continue working with the County and surrounding townships to provide all Erie County residents, businesses, and schools the fastest, most reliable, and future-proof fiber," said Joel Deuterman, President & CEO of VNET. 

VNET was warded $341,560.63 from Summit Township which included a $168,000 matching amount from Erie County. 

VNET is currently working with residents to schedule service installations.
