Otters Release 2023-24 Schedule
After unveiling their home opener on Monday, the Ontario Hockey League and the Erie Otters released the 68-game schedule for the 2023-24 season.
The Otters will open the year with a home-and-home matchup against the Mississauga Steelheads. Erie will travel to Mississauga on Friday, September 29 to begin the year at 7 p.m. The following night, the two teams will switch venues to the Erie Insurance Arena for the Otters' home opener at 7 pm.
The Otters will have home Saturday games for 8 of the first ten weeks of the season. A new change this season has all Sunday home games shift to 4 p.m. starts.
The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds will make the trip to Erie for the annual Thanksgiving Day game. This will be the third-straight season the Greyhounds play in Erie on Thanksgiving Puck drop is set for 7 p.m on Nov. 3.
The Otters will continue their annual New Year's Eve game with a meeting against the Brantford Bulldogs at 4 p.m. Brantford relocated from Hamilton as they work on arena improvements.
Erie will begin 2024 with the rival London Knights on Thursday, Jan. 3 at the Budweiser Gardens at 7 p.m.
The Sarnia Sting will serve as the opponent for the newly developed annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day game. The two will face off a 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 15.
Erie will play 13 games in just 29 days in the month of February. The School Day Game will take place on Thursday, Feb. 1, with an 11 a.m. start against the Guelph Storm.
A new Valentine's Day game is part of the busy month of February. The Otters will host the Niagara Ice Dogs on Wednesday, Feb. 14 at 7 p.m.
The regular season schedule closes out with a meeting against the Kitchener Rangers on Saturday, Mar. 23 at 7 p.m.
