Boro with the Works Independence Day Celebration
In celebration of the Fourth of July, on Monday people came out for food and fireworks to the PennWest Edinboro Campus.
"We came up here because we saw it on Facebook, and it looked like the weather's nice. It's not raining. And once we got here, it's great. It's a nice thing for families.” Pam Weber said.
Jim Bertram said that he enjoyed the food and the multitude of options.
“It was great to come up here for supper, say we were going to talk about food, so it's nice. It's a nice night," Jim
The event had many vendors, and a kid zone, making the event family friendly and fun for all ages.
"My family and I have been coming here since it started a few years ago. We love coming here due to all the fun, food trucks, and the great activities for the kids. I have a five year old who loves going, doing the face painting and the fireworks are one of the best displays that I believe in the area so far, " Mindy Nuber said.
Mindy Nuber said this event is a celebration of Independence Day, but also gives a unique opportunity to build, celebrate, and show off the Edinboro community.
“I think this is a great event for the Edinboro community, a chance for other communities to kind of come together and check out the campus here at PennWest and enjoy the beautiful weather,” Nuber said.
