High-Voltage Power Line Comes Down, Impacting Traffic on Peach St.
A high-voltage power line came down, causing a traffic headache Sunday night on one of the busiest streets in Erie County.
It affected Peach St. from W. 54th Street to the North Millcreek Mall entrance. The power line came down around 9 p.m.
Millcreek firefighters have been out setting up flares and redirecting traffic.
Officials at the Erie County 911 center said Penelec crews are on the scene making repairs.
According to the Penelec's website, just what caused the problem is under investigation.
Some 20 customers are impacted, and Penelec indicted it expects to have service restored around midnight.
