A well-known hot dog restaurant in New Castle is celebrating its 100th year in business in 2023, and by next year, it will be making its way to Erie.

In the spring of 2024, MP Coney Island will be serving up its special Greek-style hot dogs and secret chili sauce to the Erie community.

This is one of the franchise's first extensions out of the New Castle area, which will be located at the old Burger King at the intersection of Sterrettania Road and Birkmire Drive.

Construction is underway at the location.
