Monday and Tuesday will be First Warning Weather Alert Days.

A Lake Effect Snow Warning is in place for much of Northwestern PA from Monday morning through early Wednesday morning as bands of heavy lake effect snow develop with the heaviest snow totals likely along and south of I-90 and 79.

Totals of 10 to 12 inches or more are likely, with snowfall rates upwards of 2 inches per hour possible at times.

Significant lake-effect snow will impact motorists; cause spotty power outages; and gusty winds could cause down trees and branches.

Take action now and be prepared for what could be the first major snowfall of the season.
