A senior at Iroquois Junior-Senior High School was awarded this month's Northwest Pa. C.L.A.S.S. Emerging Leader Award and scholarship.

One nominated student every month, is given a $1,000 scholarship, thanks to several, area sponsors.

This month's recipient is Xavier Bayhurst. Xavier was surprised in his English class by our Jamison Hixenbaugh and followed in by school administrators, family and award sponsors.

Xavier was also presented with a certificate from the IU5.

He is the president for the class of 2024, and was nominated by his school counselor for his character, worth ethic and always thinking out of the box.

Erie News Now would like to congratulate all of the nominees for this month's Northwest Pa. C.L.A.S.S. Act Emerging Leader Award.
