The Erie Zoo will be hosting a Grand Reopening Celebration on Saturday, March 2. 

The event will be held at the zoo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Admission to the event is free. 

The celebration will feature carousel rides, hot chocolate, breakfast treats, animal meet & greets, and more. 

Additionally, the first 500 families through the gates will receive a special swag bag filled with goodies. The goodie bags will be filled with items from the Erie Federal Credit Union, Moe's Southwest Grill, Sam's Club, Wild Republic, Erie SeaWolves, Texas Roadhouse and more. 

Additionally, Mighty Fine Donuts is providing free breakfast treats and the Mill Creek Coffee Company will be providing free hot chocolate and coffee. 

The zoo's gift shop will be offering 20 percent off to everyone who attends during event hours. The Wildlife Carousel will be open as well. 

The zoo will reopen for the season on March 1. Start on March 1, the Erie Zoo will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. through November 30.
