It's been over a month now since the sunken houseboat at Presque Isle State Park's Horseshoe Pond was first spotted - and now, it's officially been raised from the water.

The boat was lifted on Monday by a 7 person team from Lake Shore Towing Services, Inc., who worked an 11 hour shift to get the structure out of the water and onto dry land.

"We had to tow our barge and crane to the location and our other work boats, get everything set up," said Eric Guerrein, owner of Lake Shore Towing. "Once the houseboat was floating again, we had to disconnect all of the anchor chains, the electric line, the water line, and mark all that with buoys. And then we towed it to the shipping terminal in the Port of Erie, where it was lifted out with 100 ton crane and set on shore."

As of now, it's not clear if or when the house boat will be able to float again, or what caused it to sink in the first place.
