Mount Pleasant is gearing up for the summer season by announcing that the resorts biking and hiking trails will open on Friday, May 3. 

The resort is offering Summer Access Passes for hikers and bikers. The passes offer over 7 miles of multi-use trails. 

Additionally, this season the Summer Access Pass includes all activities, expect biking, for $25. Those interested in biking can add it on for an additional $25. 

Individualized passes will also be offered. The pass must be on your person while hiking or biking on the property. 

A representative from Mount Pleasant said the resort is also working on snowmaking upgrades. The resort will be adding more snowguns, about 500 feet of water line and they will be getting a new snowmaking pump. 

The new pump will increase output by approximately 30 percent, allowing the resort to open earlier and stay open later.
