Erie Water Works is wrapping up Drinking Water Week with two events Saturday.

Volunteers will meet in Perry Square at 11 a.m. for a “water walk” and litter clean-up along Peach, Sassafras, French and Holland St.
Clean-up supplies will be provided. It's being held in conjunction with Groundwork Erie.

There will then be a Celebration of Water at Dobbins Landing from noon to 2 p.m. Music, games, ice cream and local vendors will be on hand to offer fun for the whole family.

Erie Water Works officials say safe, reliable drinking water is critical for many reasons, including public health, economic prosperity and quality of life.
