The Warren County Summer Music School is celebrating their 35th season, bringing arts and music to students all over Warren County.

For over 30 years the Warren County Summer Music School has provided a creative outlet for students during summer vacation.

This year the school has expanded its offerings. Now, students can take classes in not only music and traditional arts like painting, but also in theatre, dance, musical performance, and videography.

Students from the summer music school will also have the exciting opportunity to perform alongside the Warren Philharmonic Orchestra on June 27th, in an unofficial kick-off to 4th of July celebrations.

This program is special to many in the community, including a number of the instructors, who once attended the school themselves.

"This program is so dynamic, and what it brings to this community, it's just not in other parts of the world," stated Aaron Reinard, Warren County Summer Music School Percussion Instructor.

"This is our 35th season at the Warren County Summer Music School," said Michelle Belleau, Warren County Summer Music School Financial Secretary. "It's really been a full circle moment for me, I went here when I was young, and now I am involved with the board and my children attend the school as well. I just love this program, it’s awesome, especially in a time when Arts and music have gone to the wayside."

The Warren Philharmonic Orchestra's Pops by the Fountain Concert featuring students from the Warren County Summer Music School, will be held Thursday, June 27th at 7:00pm, on Second Avenue between Liberty Street and Pennsylvania Avenue in downtown Warren, PA.

The event is free to the public, spectators are encouraged to bring their own seating.
