The American Red Cross is hosting a blood drive in the memory of Mark "Hunter" Anderson on Monday, July 15.

Anderson, 66 of Franklin, passed away on May 12, 2023 after battling blood cancer. Anderson was a local business owner and youth sports coach.

According to the Red Cross, Anderson made time to donate regularly. During his battle with myeloma, a cancer of the blood plasma cells, he received many blood transfusions as part of treatment.

“Hunter was full of charisma and charm,” his daughter Brooke Kossick said. “His positivity was infectious and he had a way of forming connections with everyone he encountered. His kindness and generosity were unparalleled. He was always willing to help a friend in need.”

Anderson's family has invited the Franklin community to continue his legacy of giving back by donating in his memory.
