Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a burglary after a woman woke up to find an unknown man in her Summit Township, Erie County, motel room.

It was reported Monday evening at a motel on Perry Highway. Troopers did not disclose the name of the motel.

A woman told investigators she woke up when she felt someone touching her in the motel room, according to state police. She got up out of her bed and found an unknown man laying next to the bed in her room, troopers said.

She confronted the man, who said he was friends with her roommate, but he ran out of the hotel room and took off when she attempted to ask her roommate about the man, according to investigators.

After the man left, the women - a 41 year old and 30 year old - noticed their phone, credit/debit cards, cash and wallet had been stolen, troopers said.
