A five-alarm fire broke out in a home on River Road in Starbrick on July 8th.

The fire started at 7:30pm on the second-floor of 1660 River Road in Warren.

Volunteer firefighters and EMS providers from Starbrick, Youngsville, North Warren, Wrightsville, and Pleasant Township, along with Conewango Township Police, quickly responded to the scene.

Thanks to their swift actions, the fire was contained to a single structure, and the sole resident was safely evacuated.

“Everyone worked quickly," stated Kirk Faust, Starbrick VFD Fire Chief. "We had a crew from Pleasant and North Warren with us. They made a quick entry in and knock-down of the fire that was in the wall.”

No other injuries were reported.
