The Village Casino in Bemus Point is looking to reclaim the Guinness World Record for the most chicken wings served in 24 hours. It's all happening this weekend at their annual Wing-Fest.

Their goal is to serve 55-thousand wings! It's a record The Village Casino held since 1982. They beat their own record in 2018 by serving 42,210 wings in 24 hours.

Recently, a restaurant in Wyoming broke the record. Western New York is the birthplace of the chicken wing, so The Village Casino wants to bring this title back to the region.

"It has taken a lot of help from a lot of different people," said Village Casino Owner Andrew Carlson. "We have a staff of about 300 coming in to work this event for us."

Wing Fest starts tomorrow. Wings are $1 a piece and will be served August 3rd from 5 PM until 3 AM and on August 4th from 9 AM to 5 PM. The proceeds will benefit the Bemus Point Volunteer Fire Company.
