An alligator was reportedly spotted at the foot of the East Avenue Boat Launch over the weekend. 

According to individuals who believe they spotted the reptile say it was 4-5 feet long. They also said the creature seemed more scared than anything. 

Residents reported the sighting to the Erie Police Department and the owners of the Boat Launch called the Port Authority.
