Erie Kennel Club to Host AKC Fast CAT Competition at Harborcreek Community Park
Erie Sports Commission
The Erie Kennel Club is inviting dog owners to come and discover how fast their dogs can run at this year's AKC Fast CAT competition in Erie.
The Fast CAT (Coursing Ability Test) is a timed 100-yard dash where dogs run one at a time, chasing a lure.
The event will take place at the Harborcreek Community Park on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Dogs must be at least 12 months old and have an AKC number. Organizers say the number is obtainable through various AKC registration programs.
The competition will also feature Fun Runs for dogs without an AKC number.
The Erie Kennel Club is a nonprofit that was established in 1906.
More information on the event can be found on the kennel club's website.
