Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will start a paving project in Forest County later this month.

The project includes paving 1.89 miles of Route 666 in Howe Township from Blue Jay Creek Rd. to the Warren County line.

Work will also include roadway widening, tree trimming, drainage updates, pavement markings and new guide rail.

Construction is expected to start Aug. 26, and will be completed weather permitting. It is expected to be completed in Oct. 2024.

Drivers may see lane restrictions with traffic controlled by flaggers and should watch out for traffic pattern shifts and lane restrictions. There may be travel delays during active work hours.

The project costs $977,777.77, and will be paid entirely with state funds.
