PennDOT Reopens Hunter Rd. Bridge in East Mead Township, Crawford County

Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has reopened the Hunter Rd. bridge over Hunter Run in East Mead Township, Crawford County, after a partial bridge replacement.

The bridge closed in June and reopened earlier than expected.

The work included partial removal and replacement of the bridge, including the deck, beams, and barriers, as well as erosion prevention and new guiderails.

Employees at the PennDOT facility in Crawford County fabricated new beams for the bridge during the winter months. The remainder of the work will be completed by Thomas Construction, of Grove City.
