Girard School District is one of several local districts that are returning to class this week.

Some students there will have more than just new classes. The school board has passed a new cell phone policy. Girard High School students are not allowed to use their phones during their lunch period. 

This is an update to their existing cell phone policy. That required students to keep their phones in their lockers during the day.

They are also continuing their diversified occupations co-op program. That allows students to work part-time for credits in addition to a paycheck.
