The third annual Opening Day event kicked off at Gus Anderson field on Friday night.
Faculty and staff gathered for a thirty minute celebration.
The event included multiple performances, from the McDowell Marching band, cheerleaders, McDowell MOB and a speech from the superintendent.
Superintendent Cavanagh said that he looks forward for continual growth for the 2024-2025 school year.
