Saturday was the 10th Annual Clear the Shelters, where Erie News Now partnered with local shelters to help get animals new homes.
Six different shelters participated in the nationwide event including the Erie Humane Society.
Dozens of community members stopped by visit and play with some of the shelter's furry friends, some people were even looking to adopt them.
The Erie Humane Society currently has 75 dogs staying with them and 180 cats that are looking for forever homes.
In addition to the Erie Humane Society, the ANNA Shelter, EARS, the Erie Animal Network, Because You Care and Orphan Angels all participated.
